Also reflecting on the on the Auckland game, a few of the forwards will know what it will be like with Wellington and Southland. I would look for a change at prop if the Auckland loan player is fit and maybe Sam Barker (?? )to come onto the bench if fit ? I would still have Pryor starting - he is small for the breakdown but his speed covers the gaps that normally find us out on defence. Northland coach Bryce Woodward was today named assistant coach of the Blues for next year's Super's 15 rugby competition.
Woodward's appointment as assistant to Blues coach Pat Lam is effective immediately, although he will continue to coach Northland in this year's national provincial championship.

Woodward coached Northland in 1999-2002 and returned to the province last year.
