I changed this thread from the 1 min Distances as no-one has done one.

Bartman got me thinking about this with his attempts to do 100ks in a week.

No historical data please.  From today on only ;) So Bartman can jam his 90k's :(

Okay my week went from Sat 21st to Fri 27th. I've given myself Friday off ;)

Was originally going for a six figure week but crapped out midway through and couldn't do morning rows midweek. Think my body has adjusted to doing more metres now so will have a crack at the 100km next week.

Tomorrow is Beer and Tequila day!!

Mon  7051

good work - your body feels tired though at the end of the week eh - got to use all sorts of tricks to keep yourself rowing!  It's all about targets - and my next one is 75k   on 57,000 for this week, with three rows left - at lunch, after work and Saturday morning!!  And legs hardly work after squats / dedlift workout last night, so all systems go!!

Bastard! You should clear that easily with 3 rows left

So whats the most you've done in a week, have you ever gone past the 100k?

Best was 98,000.  Could have cracked over the 100,000 by jumping on and adding a 2000m row, but for some reason that seemed to me to be cheating - I didn't make it in my training week, so didn't want to get it with a 'top up' row!!

Quite hard at the moment with a new weights training programme with a mate thrown in, but just toning down the rowing, lowering resistance na dnot going so hard out, mainly because I can't!!

At the moment the only non sore part of my body is, well, nothing!!

;)

I didn't do a regular Sat-Fri week this time as rugby watching, drinking and recovery got in the way. I decided to get a head start at the beggining of the 'week' to make the 100000m less daunting. It did the trick, the hardest thing after the good start was just not skipping a row.

well done, that's the key - when I did my 98 I did big metres eartly in the week, and ran out of gas by the end of the week.

So a target  ;)

think you should have an overall time for that distance as well, would be an interesting comparison

Overall time? ummmm 7 days ;)

I was doing longer rows so my pace was always around 2:05.

So let's round that up to 21mins per 5km, or 420mins for 100k

Somewhere just over 7hrs sounds about right.

I'm sure if Bart does less weights one week and decides to complete the 100km he'd be at least 20mins quicker than that.

might give it a nudge next week anyway - just means having to get my arse into a longer row in the mornings!!  I average about 1:55 when I did my 98,000 in a week, but there was no weights involved then.

Probably won't give it a go next week - just a dream at the moment!!

63,000 - meaning 37,000 more to crack the magical ton - two days and a half days left to do it in, and it's starting to hurt - 17,000 today so far, and PLANNING to row pre and post weights today...

geez, when you hit the wall, it's big.  managed another rwo pre weights, post weights was too shagged, and this morning, Friday, sat on the machine, rowed a minute, and then got off - there was nothing there!!  Ceratinly need to do the bulk of the metres early in the week, and less weights...
