OK, les liven things up a bit eh folks?

lets have a percentage challenge or something like that.

Me doing lots of 5k rows at the moment, so that'll be the start, and we'll try and do one of these monthly or something??

Soo, not the fastest time, but the biggest percentage margin knocked off your current beset time as on the 5k best times thread...??

So, who's in...?

Me, Currently 20 seconds OUTSIDE my PB over 5000k in January, so would be a negative percentage currently - what is the equation to get poercentages for minutes too someone with a numbers run brain please!!

I'll join in if I can use 19:44 as my 5km time.. I set that just before we set up this board.

Im pretty keen. Because of my inability to run at the moment due to shin splints ive been tearing myself a new asshole on the concept two at the gym. Generally dont take much notice of my times, but might try with a 5k at some stage over the coming days and weeks and try and whack the time down. When I was rowing at school I did a 5k of around 17 minutes 20 something. Would love to get back down there but im not sure how keen the people at the gym would be to have me spewing up all over their machine and carpet
Its a matter of faith...

Hmmm just did my first row in a while after being a lazy drunkard and it was spectacularly poor

It will take at least two weeks to threaten my old time.. Hopefully I can make a tiny improvement on it by the end of the month

Just back from an 18.45.9 today.  Felt pretty strong the whole way, started out at 1.57-1.58 splits for the first 1000m, then down around 1.51 for the next 3000m, then 1.48 for 500m, then about 1.40 for the sprint home.  Pretty consistently around 32 spm the whole way, except for the first and last 500m splits where I was around 30 and 34 respectively.
