home alone, cricket on, so instead of cracking open the beers, decided todo the following, THEN have a beer or three, which I am doing now

30 minute row:  7706m    1:56.7
30 minute rest:
25 minute row:  6363m    1:57.8
25 minute rest:
20 minute row:  5143m    1:56.6
20 minute rest:
15 minute row:  3980m    1:53.0
15 minute rest:
10 minute row:  2694m    1:51.3
5 minute rest:
5 minute row:  1361m    1:50.2

total minutes:  105
total metres:  27,247    1:55.6

Think the rest times should be 20 minutes for the first three distances, than ten minutes between the 15 and 10 rows, and then 5 minutes to finish, as I did.  Was getting plenty pf recovery!

second beer gurgling down now as the blody aussies make their comeback!

jesus thats impressive.
Reminds me of a story of Jamie Fitzgerald, who rowed a few years above me at high school (and has recently completed the first unaided walk to the South Pole as well as holding the record time for rowing across the atlantic) . Apparently when he was in training with the New Zealand crews a few years back, he sat down and watched an entire one day cricket match on the rowing machine, just plugging away.
Dunno how you do it bartman
Its a matter of faith...

mate, since dropping my stroke rate, these longer distance / time rowing is bloody easy!!  rowed all these legs between 21-24 SPM.  Can't wait to have a hit at some PBs woth my 'normal' SR of 28-30.  Fingers crossed, but I reckon times'll plummet!!

titanic tuesday.

Did the same thing again, watching the Kiwi cricketers again.

less rest, more metres.

check my log in the fatbusters forum for details.

suffice to say, started a few cramps this time around, so drinking more water than most desert nations, and baking soda to stop the cramps!!
