Not sure how long Lee is about for but would like to see the people in charge sign a bloody good halfback for next year. Chris Eaton dosen't do it for me, he is way too greedy, thinks he can take on the world at times and pisses me off with some of his option taking.
Anyone know of any up and coming promising players in the Club scene or do we need to open the cheque book up around the country, if so who would be a ideal signing?

Well with Weepu deciding to stay around Wellington for a while longer, mabye Mathewson will consider coming back to the Bay to get some regular first division gametime. I guess part of that decision could be around AB selection too - I anticipate that once Brendon Leonard is fit, then him and Cowan will be the top 2 halfbacks during the AB's home series and Tri Nations, leaving Weepu to play for Wellington during the ANZ Cup.
At the very least if he does not want to transfer to Wellington, maybe they would consider loaning him, or is it too important for them to have him sitting on the bench ready to come on if required. Seeing the way that loaned players have been pulled back at no notice to their home provinces this season I would not really want the number one halfback possibly disappearing just before an important game disrupting the most important combination (8 - 9 - 10) in the side.

Why buy in Kilifi Fangupo from North Otago if you aren't going to use him much?

wouldnt go wrong with James Rodley...very likely he will be without a AirNZCup contract next year....
