McKenty, Payne and Vainikolo for me. Didn't want to vote for Vainikolo, but he finally looked like he wanted to be there. He came over after the game to where we were standing and we had a chat to him. He reckons he had no choice to leave and he didn't really want to. He said he is really going to miss it up North. Never mind I will be happy if he has one ore big performance left for us and can get us a win against Auckland. Others that were right up there too...Ranger, Carpenter, Dewes, Smith, Veale and Helleur(even though he only played just over half a game).
Glenn McGrath to Eddo Brandes - "Why are you so fat?"

Eddo Brandes' reply - "Because everytime I **** your wife she gives me a biscuit"

McKenty, Veale & Holwell.

Holwell back to some of best rugby, when he attacks the line and draws opposition creating space outside.

Veale, a big hua that gets around the park, but doesnt shirk the tight stuff!

McKenty, for being everywhere and into everything, plus extra points for points for the cheek in bringing the ball back from the kicking tee, absolute class!!  :2funny:

Special mention to the rest of the team, in particular Vainikolo, Ranger, Carpenter, Gus, Goodwin, Cocker, Smith, Murray, Coughlan, Helleur, Dewes & Payne...

But it was great to see some energy again from Vainikolo, and Payne has superb positioning and timing when he hits the line, while Ranger continues to be a threat.

One of Cocker's best games too!! Gus, was still everywhere as well, that man is a machine!!

Went for Vainikolo, Helleur and Cocker..

Just watched the match for a second time and I focussed on Cocker, he got through a ton of work and made good yardage everytime he got the pill, one of his best games in the blue shirt..

Helluer was very good also, he has a crisp pass and is always looking for options, a busy wee fella, hope we can sign him for next year!

Vainikolo turned it on for only the second time this year and makes me think that we ARE gana miss him..just a little bit!
