Dont use you heart (if you can help it), use your head and pick the 4 that will bottom of the table. Be interesting to see who we think would get demoted if it was results on the field.

I kicked the ball rolling - I see you didn't make your picks BSG and went for Northland, Manawatu, Counties, NH.
You could accuse me of going with my heart by excluding Hawkes Bay but I do think they'll sneak into 9 or 10 before season end. Manawatu made a great start but I think the rigours of the comp will wear them down.

I don't want any of these selected provinces demoted though.

While Northland is sitting in the danger zone, the closeness of this comp is a little mis-leading, Northland could be as high as 6th after this weekend (if my math is right, which it is sometimes)

Counties, NH, Manawatu, Taranaki

Counties, Taranaki, Otago, Harbour
The most important player in any team is the tighthead prop. The second most important is the reserve tighthead prop.

It will be intersting. Counties seem to be popular. We might have to recruit Masaga. Or have I read that DSW have already done that

I wish I could have voted for BoP xzxfishing But that win over Canterbury somewhat suggests this might be their season...

I went CM, North Harbour, Taranaki (maybe a bit of a heart pick) and Northland...

If it was my heart I would have Otago, Wellington, North Harbour and Taranaki.

Just as interesting would be a top 4 poll... its wide open in my opinion.

Three were easy, Counties, Manawatu and Tasman. The fourth was a toss up between Southland and Northland, and Southland have better on field results.

I thought this whole thread and poll was in relation to onfield results?

In which case, there's no way Southland would be the team going down, considering their current standing, and the worst position they could finish in.

North Harbour still have a lot of teams to play as well. Tasman are proving tough this year I should have picked manawatu in stead.

Can't stop finding reasons why Harbour will climb away. I mean they beat Canterbury and lose 4/5 by <5 points. On the other hand 1/6 FFS. I keep on thinking they'll turn it round. Even picked them to upset Taranaki xzxhang1

So I've actually done the train spotter thing and predicted every match renmaining and in reverse order have CM, Tasman, Manawatu, Taranaki. Home advantage and the draw does cahnge it a bit but I have Harbour just scarping through with wins against Hawkes Bay, Manawatu and Counties. None of which are a given.

For interest I had the 4 semi finalist being Cant Wtn BOP and Akl.

C-M, Tasman, Northland & Harbour.

What's distraughting for our franchise is seeing our two little brothers in this list.

If Tasman don't sustain a rash of further injuries, I think we'll stay clear actually.

Losing Ben Franks for the season has been a big blow, but even without him and Kade Poki we easily put Manawatu away - and they're a team that several others have struggled with.

Surely those voting for a Super Rugby base union realise they have wasted their vote? xzxidiot2

Does it need to be explained again that we are talking about the bottom 4 on the table not the ones to be relegated using criteria?

No, sorry, I just didn't think it warranted its own thread BSG.

Yet another who misread the purpose of this poll. Pick the four teams who you think will finish bottom, not who will get relegated.

You really think there will be a Super union in the bottom 4? Really????

Wasted vote IMO.
