Auckland playing into a very strong wind, winning the battle of the stats and the scoreboard at present, doing pretty well in trying conditions.

OTA scored the try, probably enough for a S14 contract...

Some open rugby for the conditions, Pakalani absolutely smashed in a tackle...

Taranaki get a pen inside Auckland 22, go for touch

That some serious wind. How come Taranaki didn't get to spend the whole half in our 22 with that behind them? Box kicks are impossible and the 22 drop off had to be put along the ground, been a long time since I've seen conditions that bad.

Auckland atackign Taranaki's line, Taranaki not realising that if you kick it high into the wind, the wind affects it's flight

naki get a penalty from what looked like a naki man on his knees, quick tap, Akl, not back, they now take a scrum.

Kicking is not an option

The conditions assist the ultimate defensive bomb from Taranaki to look even worse xzxrofl

some sloppy passing by Taranaki sees them under pressure in own 22, Auckland lineout, they lose.

Austin skies one up and back into the wind and Auckland almost socre

Auckland get a penalty and take the tap, knock on after a couple of passes.

Looked like a professional foul by naki there too

Hoeata and Kaino obviously cold as well, have a bit of a cuddle on the deck, leads to all in...

Auckland gain scrum pen on own 22

Any chance of a score update? Is there live scoring somewhere?

Thanks for the updates TR. Presumably it is still 0 - 7 so how come Auckland don't seem to be able to score any points despite the obvious territorial advantage?

Sounds like one of the worst games of rugby you've had to sit through.

Thank you for the updates - when did Kiwis forget how to play smart rugby? I mean, if you have the wind, kick the bloody thing...

That was fantastic wet weather rugby from Auckland, did as much as they could right with those conditions. Taranaki however were dumb as, Ripia's kick pass in his 22 summed up their approach to the conditions.

whats worse, is thier coach didnt seem fussed at halftime with the way they had played????

Sheets of rain hosing in still, Auckland fully deserved that, both sides made similar numbers of errors, Auckland just made sure most were made (from both sides) in the naki 22
