When does the team get named for the Dubai leg Dec 4-5? Anyone know?
2011 - The year that we beat Australia in a test match in Australia! Oh yeah... We won the RWC too.

Good team, whether they are good enough to top Treu's Saffas, I dunno. Looking forward to seeing Baker and particularly Stowers with room to run.

I don't know much about Grant or Tokula, can't remeber them from NPC or my aging memory is failing me. Can someone provide a bit of info? Number of NPC matches, 15's position, 7's position, age, etc.

Pleased for Toby Arnold - the boy is a good all-round player and apparently has been showing up well in Titch's speed tests. Zar is best left to the Sevens game as he had a shocker of a 15s season. Don't know much about Grant except he played sevens last year and is a mobile forward. Souness is an open-side and looks an ideal Sevens guy, very quick. Tokula played centre for Waikato and looks to have a lot about him - he certainly caused us problems at Baypark with direct running, is a big guy.

Agreed KP. Be happy to see him specialise in sevens - not too many kicks to receive and he's a good runner.

Don't remember him at all. Embarrasing for one of us - either he wasn't very good or I should have been paying more attention.

I will re watch the DSW v Bay2 for a glimpse of Tokula.

Snowy... No chance of you making it out here for the George Sevens again?

Unfortunately not this year Bill. Working sucks. I'm not going to make it to Dubai either.

SA will be on the agenda for future years though. The other locations aren't exactly exotic so going to have to visit some places again, except for Vegas which just sounds dangerous - a pre RWC fern meeting in 2011 perhaps?

Hong Kong is 26-28 March 2010 if anybody is planning a visit.

HK 2010 unfortunately isn't on the cards for me.
But I will be in NZ in October 2010 for a wedding so a pre-RWC fern meeting then suits me.
Alternatively, I am hopeful of actually making it to NZ in 2011 for the actual event, so then will be fine too.
I suspect I owe a fair number of ferners some beers - so I will stock my wallet accordingly. xzxcool

No Tim Nanai-Williams is interesting. Unless he's injured my guess is that he is on a bulking up program for Super rugby and that won't fit with Titch's training. (Or are Super players forced to have a break anyway?)

Grant's been there for a while now and is pretty handy. A player in a similar mould to Seymour, he played a fair bit for Otago this season I thought, coming off the bench a bit. Think he plays mostly 8.
I hope that someday we will be able to put away our fears and prejudices and just laugh at people.

There aren't any ''protected'' players in that 7's squad are there?

I was hoping Ryan Shortland would make the squad just so I could see how a former NRL player would go in the 7s format.

Not sure how it works, but maybe just concentrating on Super 14.

Yeah if Titch was allowed S14 players I'd imagine we'd see the likes of Vito, Fruean, even perhaps Sam Whitelock, Colin Bourke or Alando Soakai popping up.

The Olympics will be interesting then.

If our best players are available, wonder if the league guys would get a crack as well. SBW. Plus players from all over the world should be available for selection.

Cant wait to go to George and watch the 7's.
