Nobody wins S14 in February.
The most important player in any team is the tighthead prop. The second most important is the reserve tighthead prop.

Well considering there are three rounds of the S14 in February ---- 3 wins this month will certainly help a team in their campaign.

In particular the comment relating to the 2 losses, which as he points out, is irrelevant in the scheme of a 14 round comp.

Go get a life you guys! In a discussion about a PRE-SEASON game, pointing out one team's PRE-SEAON record is pretty relavent to the topic. Watch out for the anal police!

maybe it is you thats needs toget a grip?

Pre-season, as has been shown, means jack sh!t vs winnning the comp.

Even the first 3 or 4 games in the comp itself mean nothing when it comes to the Chiefs!

Thats kinda stating the obvious taniwha. We all know PRE-SEASON doesnt count. No one is saying otherwise.
But whats wrong with mentioning one team's PRE-SEASON record when making a post about PRE-SEASON games???

Perhaps TR and Red Beard shouldn't post anything until the week of the final then, sheesh...

Perhaps they need to start televising the rugby this weekend so there's something decent to argue about.

So anyways... you're not wrong C4L. What of it? Are you hoping the Canes can regain some mojo after getting their bums booted in the Tron twice last year? That's the only point you make, so it's a struggle to see what else you are getting at... Can you expand on that?

Haha there's some touchy fuckers around. Looks pretty relevant to me? These teams are playing each other aren't they? In a pre-season match? He could've also mentioned the Canes pre-season record I guess, but he didn't, too bad. Whoop-dee-doo! Let's get our knickers in a twist!

It's C4L! He was trying to say the Hurricanes are the best, they'll win the S14 and I'd love to roll around in a pile of their dirty jocks after a 4 hour training session? :D

Sorry if i was sounding bias towards the canes, i was just trying to build up this weeks match so that everyone would feel excited and energetic heading into the super 14. I know the chiefs made the final last year SCORS by beating the Canes in the semi final but what have they done before that. Jack Shit. And i'm pretty sure with Mils out in the 1st three rounds of this years super 14 they will be looking at another poo season ahead.

Any sign of Colin Bourke? Suspect that is Ferret's first choice forward pack and he is tinkering with the backline.

Do you .OP fans know if Delany enjoys playing Fullback??? Can't see why he can't be first five on Mils return and Donald at 2nd five. (or vice versa)

I havent really got a clueabout that Hooroo, but I doubt he enjoys it much. Firstty he didnt play well for the Chiefs there last year, it isnt his normal position, and he isnt go to help his AB ambitions by playing there.

That's kind of what I figured, but also, he's a year of playing decent footy better than he was last time he played there. Hopefully he goes alright. If I remember correctly, he has a fair punt on him?

Well he is more accurate than 'booming' in my opinion. He is good at working a team around the park.
I dont think he will do well at 15 ,and that might mean that he gets dropped.. and doesnt get much of a chance for the rest fo the season.

Will be nice to have AB depth on the bench though.....

I seriously can see them both starting eventually with Donald as second receiver

I expect Ferret to go with Donald 10, Bruce 12 & Kahui 13 with Delany on the bench. Unless the Chiefs revert to their usual season start in which case he may be forced to change.

I'm planning to go along tomorrow so as well as tweeting updates on @bopmafia I'll try to keep an eye on formations and individual performances.

The Canes are going to win the Shield? How?

Delany was in the Herald saying he is okay with fullback and would rather be pushing for a place in the Chiefs than have a spot handed to him elsewhere.
