I voted for Aaropn, a far better player then McAlister and I don't think Nonu has come right till the last couple of seasons when he learnt how to pass (still a day to day battle for him though)

I voted Mauger because I also voted Tana.
These two were almost perfect together IMO.
But I am still of the opinion that Nonus effectiveness at 2nd 5 is under rated if unorthodox, and is the better match for Smith than Mauger would be.

Hmm, I thought I posted here stating my preference was Tana at 12 - I must have forgot to hit reply.
Tana would be 12 and Conrad 13 in a real best team of the decade
.
So since I couldn't vote for Tana my second choice is Nonu.

I did too then realised they would be the midfield pairing and I think the only test they started in these roles was a loss in 03 against the poms. Whilst both big strong hard runners they also both have a few subtle skills to bring to the equation and while Henry said they'd never ( and didn't ) start together again I think they would have been a good pair. Both so adept at the hit up, the outside break, the fend.....also handy at putting the outsides away, only weakness may be tactical kicking but Marshall and DC can handle that hopefully.
