Three All Blacks present at the Naesby event were Andrew Hore, Andy Ellis and ISSAC ROSS! I know he was probably just fulfilling his contractual obligations. But still after his explusion from the squad and hardly friendyl fire between himself and Shag, you cant help but enjoy the irony! Kind of suprised they didnt take a Messam or Kahui but I guess Mastercard went for the cheapest and easiest option.
Have to say he played very well last night against a poor Harbour side.

The most important player in any team is the tighthead prop. The second most important is the reserve tighthead prop.

Ha, not one current squad member, although at least Hore would be if not injured. His farm is only just a few kms up the Pig Root so maybe he was at home convalescing.
Did Ross actually get amongst it, or did he piss around out the back and wait for someone to slide one over to him??

As you said, that has to be something to do with some kind of obligation. Still, you'd have to think that they could just let him off. Given the current situation, it's hardly ideal.
As has been mentioned in the thread about him, it's bizarre that he persists with his style of play.

Wyatt Crockett and Ellis were the ones used on the West Coast. The big guns like McCaw, Nonu, Woodcock, Carter and Mealamu attened the Tokoroa and Waipu events. Amazing that those gusy could walk properly let alone compete less than 24 hours after a test match!
Edit: Brad Thorn, Owen Franks and Richie went to the Akaroa one.

I wonder how much they actually enjoy it. On the whole it's not a bad job is it? I still remember the one here with Buck, Tialata, and Weepu. Weepu was beaten by a middle aged woman catching up and unders.
It's a great concept and must have a big effect on a lot of the kids that see them up close.

Fantastic concept. Big ups to the players who back up the morning after a test.
