The coaches are doing alright IMO, the team had a structure and tactics. They players just fucked it up at crucial times all night.
Rugby Football is our game
Bay of Plenty is our name
We are the pride of all provincial rugby teams
Pass it here, pass it there, we are going to pass it everywhere.
We are the greatest team of all
We dont hold that ball to long, we just pass it right along
Play the game Bay of Plenty, play the game

Burleigh is great with ball in hand but he's not a 10 in any way, Waenga at least vaguely resembles one. What was particularly frustrating was how many times we broke the Naki line, for the whole 80 minutes we were busting them open.

Agreed, that was a classic coach killer game tonight. Unless Horan told Moa and Burleigh not to link up with any fluency in the entire first half, or Arnold to play keystone cops, or Bourke to mark up poorly, or ...
He'll have to make some changes this week.

I can see why Moa was not wanted in Auckland. He isnt bad with ball in hand but average at the rest. I think Horan should of used his bench earlier in the 2nd half. Googs wasnt great, moa too slow, and the two fetches were nowhere to be seen. No intensity from the boys. Had naki on the ropes but nothing........Oh well, next week, hopefully.

Coaching staff are fine. When you look at the patterns its all going well.
Even the defense is Ok. We just are not covering the stupid basic skills of passing and catching. No doubt Bourke will get a kick in the arse for playing like a back too much. He is not Zinny!!! He came to the BAY from the other place to play in the forwards rather than the backs.
We need spark and passion back. That is what finishes scoring movements and covers errors quickly.
