I'd give them more chance than I would have given Manawatu of beating Wellington last week..

The same thing was said when we went down to Christchurch 3 years ago, from memory that game went ok for us :)

fROM THE HARBOURRUGBY SITE

Mike Reid and captain ... quite possibly the worst player we have on the track at the moment, aren't captains supposed to be tuff, at the peak of their games and guranteed to start every week.
Parsons, best we got ... what ever happened to that ugly prick Dustow!!!
Big Ben ... doesn't care anymore, just wants to get down to the tron for his 2nd year of super rugger, wasted talent
James King, going well, needs some support
Filo, this guy is embarrasing, does one big hit a game, usually on a little guy. Spends the rest of it doing nothing, needs to move from the stimulating town of Warkworth
Malakai, going well after some strugging injuries, has the ability, but lacks coaching
Tom C, when he's not playing pokies he goes alright, came right after getting the arse
Looa manu, we signed him as a no 8, playing no 6 ... another piece of good coaching ... maybe he's their ball runner, but he's more effecitve than the next guy
Mayhew ... joke joke joke ... just cause he can lift a small car, is a yard off the pace, old man has got him and his bros in there ... good stuff dad
Smylie, been here for ever, tidy but time to give it up and get a contract
Nalu, he needs to start, give him consitant time, has got the goods
Harris, best of a pretty average bunch, gives it everything, needs some front foot ball
Luke, piss off back to england, you're a chump
Watt/Tarrant ... are these 2 related to Holister? Terrible
Alipate, Holister's secret lover possibly ... the guy falls over before even getting touched
Nafi, needs to play more rugby
Ken, time to stop thinking hes the next big thing
Josh, good back up, tuff but not big enough
Jack.....please find another 15....quick....should be told to tidy himself up, looks like we got him from the side of the road, plays like it too

Says it all about Harbour really - A win tonight would be as big an upset as the Canterbury one in 2006 :) - which was 4 yrs ago Virg

This game has hardly been talked about, probably for good reason. Sometimes it can be real hard for a top side to fire against a cellar dwellar. Many championship winning sides have had real hurry ups from so called easy beats.

The most important player in any team is the tighthead prop. The second most important is the reserve tighthead prop.

Agree with others thoughts on this one. No build up hype whatsoever and for good reason - harbour shouldnt worry them but this gives us a real chance of sneaking in there and grabbing an unlikely and unexpected win.

IMHO though it wont happen. Even gone with Southland as my money in the bank suicide tip this week!

NH looking sharp at times...but Southland looking better, a few long range tries!

WTF is up with that bit from the NH site??

Whether you agree with the sentiment, that kind of thing should not be on the official site!!

Nah, Harbourrugby.com is the second best fan site on the entire web. Very funny. And not the official site TR, cos as they say "the official site's crap".

Completely agree about Brendon Watt... he turned up at BOP in 2004 and was crap then.... hasn't improved a bit.

That was a good performance from Southland. That last try just topped it off really.

jeez that was a harsh finish for NH, hard on attack searching for the BP and then concede a try 100m down the other end!!

My bad...although when I was a long time frustrated supporter of Northland (especially during that 3 years) on my site I always took the glass half full approach (and the official site was pants!)

so any thoughts on lucky? Is he starting to actually look ok or is he slipping further and further into a non entity and ending up back OS?

granted I didnt watch all of the match, but to me he just looks a good NPC player that would be lucky to get a S14 contract.

man o man. Who would of thought it would come to this ay. When he left i was so gutted, absolute world class player in his prime. Now he is a shadow of his former self. Real shame.

as he is off contract soon, it wouldnt be surprising if he heads back to the North, with him struggling to make the AB's, others moving in front of him, he needs to go now or he will just be another S14/NPC player looking to leave after the RWC....or he needs to sort his shit out....

he shows the odd nice touch of his former self, but others show similar glimpses as well, shame really, but I guess it serves as a warning for those who thought heading off young and coming back to try and get back in was a good idea??

Lucky shouldn't have come back to an outfit as dysfunctional as Harbour.

He's been dragged down to their level.

Missing S14 has totally fucked up his comeback

I think Macs contract with the NZRU is untill the end of 2012. I'm sure Lam can help Mac get back to the top.

all depends if he has that out clause, the way he was talking on the news, he will be weighing up overseas offers after this NPC (ie he misses the EOYT)

He's not even close for the EOYT.
Wouldn't be surprised to see him go back up North.
