Please nominate who you think was the most successful centre (or outstanding outside-centre being the translation for Johnny Foreigner) with your reasons.
Similar to the separation of wingers, when I set up a "Midfield" poll a season or two ago the backs tossed their hair dryers and styling products out of their cot. Apparently there's a difference in just how the mid-field stuff things up for the forwards depending on the numbers on their back - hence a poll for 12 and 13.
If you disagree with a nomination then this thread is your chance to do so – you must say WHY though: furnish reasons for your disagreement! (Or run the risk of deletion!).
Debate at this stage of the process is encouraged.
Polls will be put up later listing nominations’ pros and cons.

Conrad Smith
Pros: Centre was not a worry for us finally at a WC. Just got out there and did his job.
Cons: Just got out there and did his job. He didn't get much time to shine with the way the ABs played, especially in the WC, but was still doing the job.

I just thought Conrad Smith was brilliant. He faded toward the end of the season, but I had him in the top 5 of the ABs for the first 3/4 of the season and the final.
When the Nets go 0-82, it's gravy. When the Blues go 2-9, it's Lam.

Brian O'Driscoll - He has now scored 46 test tries, putting him joint 6th on the all time list with Cullen and Rok. He broke a 78 year old record to become the top try scorer in the 6 Nations in his awesome display to deny England a grand slam in Dublin.
But I've seen games won by teams without any hope at all!

Re Smith. I suspect I'll vote for him but he did miss a few obvious tackles this year. Not something he's known for.

IIRC a couple of them were in broken play situations where others had missed tackles and he was forced to try and cover, but yes, still not ones you expect him to miss, but not directly his fault for missing
