Please nominate who you think was the most creative incredible coach in 2011 with your reasons.

If you disagree with a nomination then this thread is your chance to do so – you must say WHY though: furnish reasons for your disagreement! (Or run the risk of deletion!).

Debate at this stage of the process is encouraged.

Polls will be put up later listing nominations’ pros and cons.

it's got to be Blackadder. yeah he didn't won the world cup (or anything for that matter) but he managed to keep the saders together and took them to the sxv final whilst going through undeniably the most extreme circumstances any sports team has ever confronted in a season.

his man management was surperb and he did it all without McGod for the most part.

Sorry, not eligible. Not a test coach.

Marc Livremont. He knew how to get the best out of the French team, piss them off. Whether it was genius or madness they came with in a inch or two of spoiling the All Blacks party. It was a massive achievement to get France to the final and to come so close to winning the Main Event.
But I've seen games won by teams without any hope at all!

I was going to suggest Thierry Dusautoir ... but I do like your reasoning sparky. The thought had occurred.

I'll throw in Gatland for consideration. Created a real threat out of previous also rans. Sure they faded at the end of the RWC but their performances did suggest massive improvement.

Further to the Ted nomination: he managed a team through a very tight travel schedule. Created a team that could win the RWC without the best player in the world - and in fact with that same player's 3rd replacement for 60% of the final. Managed major injury concrens to key players in the squad. Retained the Bledisloe and Freedom Cups (we did keep that didn't we? It's on the combined series?). Made the big calls at the right time replacing experienced, previously favourite players. And created a team that absolutely dominated the preliminary rounds of the RWC and had the belief to win an epic final under immense pressure from the opposition, history, worldwide All Black haters and the intense scrutiny of the NZ public.

Wonder who I'll vote for ...
