The Nominees for the mesomorphic hooking leg person are (in no particular order):

SERVAT, William FRA
Pros
  • a nasty bugger around the park
  • “best lineout throw in the world”
Cons
  • None listed
MEALAMU, Keven NZL
Pros

  • source of constant nuggety "go forward" for the All Blacks
  • hit lineouts consistently
  • back to his burrowing, buldozing best
Cons
  • None listed
MOORE, Stephen AUS
Pros
  • “All round game better than his peers - Servat, Mealamu, Bismark “
  • he is one of the few in the Aus pack that can hold his own
Cons
  • he is one of the few in the Aus pack that can hold his own
  • outplayed by Mealamu at least three times this year (and Mealamu is not even my top rated hooker!)
  • about as good as Dylan Hartley.
DU PLESSIS, Bismarck RSA
Pros
  • the best Bokkie rake.
Cons
  • wasn’t guaranteed starter
  • had to compete with the fat old guy who used to be John Smit
Despite Red Beard nominating him in this category Owen Franks is not eligible as he didn’t play at hooker this year.
3.

I think BBarcs is going to slip into a depression - his boy the battleship is well of the pace, and surprisingly in a year where we've won the WC there will actually be quite a few non NZ players in the team ... just not Saffas.
"it is not for me a question of whether Nepia was the best fullback in history. It is a question of which of the others is fit to loose the laces of his Cotton Oxford boots."

Rennie, Joseph, Russell, Penney, Hammett. The Mickey Mouse Canes keep rolling on.
