Its the final week of voting, some of the awards are pretty much a foregone conlusion (Gibbits $20 bribe to win a couple awards is working out well)
But there are currently a few close calls and even tied results.

Like Knight in Shining Armour, just a single vote in it
http://www.daimenhut...-Shining-Armour

Most missed part 1 & 2 are both tight as well, if you havent cast your votes get in there.
http://www.daimenhut...t-Missed-Part-1.
http://www.daimenhut...t-Missed-Part-2.

Theres a lack of vote (especially for me) in the Best Avatar award, get in there as well.
http://www.daimenhut...ard-Best-Avatar

Biggest dummy spit is in a 3 way tie, unless someone pulls ahead i will be forced to use my special powers and decide the winner (generally the biggest bribe gets the gold medal)
http://www.daimenhut...gest-Dummy-Spit

The other tied for the lead awards are Foot in Mouth Award...
http://www.daimenhut...-in-Mouth-Award

Non Kiwi Ferner you would most like to share a beer with...

Best Kiwi Supporter...
http://www.daimenhut...-Kiwi-Supporter

Post of the Year...
http://www.daimenhut...ost-of-The-Year

Best Non kiwi supporter.

So make your vote count and get in there if you havent already!

Below are some awards that have already been decided..

Best Stats Man - Booboo
Best Trivia Award - Booboo
Best Live Commentary - Duluth
Most Likely to Post Drunk - Hooroo

Go here http://www.daimenhut...p/17-TSF-Awards to see the many awards available.

And the winners are.....

Well the polls closed yesterday and its really hot outside so im sure no one really gives a toss but here are the rest of the winners...

Thread of the Year is a tie between "Where will you be watching the semi final" and the peoples champion "Hammett vs Nonu/Hore"

Knight in Shining Armour went to Baron and 20/20 cricket, nice one mate hope you enjoyed the HRV Cup...but from this Thursday the true cricketing format begins here....

Kiwi Ferner you most like to drink with which was spread over 2 polls, the winner with 22 votes is Gibbit (first of about 17 awards he won), me myself was very happy to have received 12 votes (and if you take away the votes i gave myself, meant out there on the fern there are 2 people who want to have a beer with me!)

Broken Record award went to Davidav and 'Ice' Toeava, Broken record award went to Davidav and 'Ice' Toeava...seriously nice one Dav, S15 starts soon you must be itching to post about your favorite All Black and Blues player.

Spirit Of The Fern by the narrowest of margins went to everyone favorite car salesman, Gibbit.

No Love Lost Award was a group effort, the Pro vs Anti Toeava's. Basically the entire fern won that one.

Phooey Award for one eyedness was won by bbarcs for his all consuming man love for the Springboks.

Most Missed was another award spread over 2 polls, plenty received similar votes but the overall winner and someone id personally love to come back more often so he can give me a break with these awards, Parcy 2.0!

Best Avatar went to the guy with that really annoying fly crawling over his name, Voltron

Ferner who's posts you always read yep you wont believe it but Gibbit won this one too.

Best Newcomer was deservedly won by Polotechnics, who hopefully wont suffer from 2nd year blues while posting this year.

Least Missed was won by Neuter, probably the one award you dont really want to win...

Biggest Dummy Spit was won by NTA, who is only 2nd to Scorz at making throwing a hissy and abandoning the Fern an art form..

Foot in Mouth is another tie result, withDavidav winning his second award (For bagging the mighty fine All Black legend Sir Stephen Donald) along with Mr Bungle who slagged off Sumo Stevenson.

Non Kiwi you would like to have a beer with was a close run thing, with Parcy 2.0 picking up his second award, good for him.

Best Comedian went to ..oh fark off!...Gibbit , mr popular strikes again.

Best Kiwi Supporter shock!..was not won by Taniwharugby, pretty much the first time he's never won. But instead by Frontrow Fan, thanks to his mighty commitment to the All Blacks by traveling around NZ with his mates in the All Black Bus.

Post of the Year very well deserved winner in Paj and his 'what the RWC win meant to me'

Best Article went to another fine piece written after the RWC win, by Grogan

Jury Award for Level Headedness
went to a fine ferner, Booboo. Does that man ever swear or lose his cool??

Gee Gibbit hasnt won an award for a while....

Ferner who's post you never read was won, or is that lost by WanganuiUK (no point to posting a celebratory post mate, no one will read it anyway)

And there you have it, another year of winners and losers and where i walk away empty handed yet again. But i have a good feeling about next year!

Shocker. Most tedious thread with the least basis in fact.

Top work Virgil! 2011 was a fantastic year for the Fern.
But I've seen games won by teams without any hope at all!

Wayhay! How'd I do that? And in answer to your question - yes often ;) ... but I've learned to try and not post :
a. drunk (as often)
b. angry (at least without re-reading/re-writing)

(Probably because back in the day I was prone to spouting off an opinion without thinking and getting torn to shreds ...).

Gee - three awards. On fire! ;) Nearly as many as Gibbit. Not sure how many wanted to have a beer with me though. Mind you I'm a calm, statistically minded trivia geek. Does that make me the Fern's Cliff Clavin? hmmm...

Has he won it enough for it to become the Taniwharugby Award for Kiwi Supporter?

Cheers guys, Paj i think your comedic powers are far too dry for most on here. Besides you should be very happy with your Post of the year win.

Next awards i might have to try a few new things, shake it up a bit....just dont ask me how..

Blown away guys, thanks heaps. Feel a bit unworthy when you're in the same catagoury as Crusader supporters after the season they had. An absolute honor to take it out the year we win the cup. Cheers to the rest of the boys on the trip, the silver fern hour for the coverage plus other media. I can report my liver is returning to somewhat normality.Bring on 2015!!

Nice work Virgil.

Whilst a worthy winner (Dav) there were plenty of broken records in that Hammett / Nonu thread that seem to be making a good run for the 2012 award..... ;)

Yes, and many of them (the two top posters I think from memory) were from non Canes fans defending the coaching staff and board!
"it is not for me a question of whether Nepia was the best fullback in history. It is a question of which of the others is fit to loose the laces of his Cotton Oxford boots."

Oh shit just clicked on here.. that was nice for the self esteem.

But can I point out that 'getting stuff on the radio' is what I do for work, FRF's purchase of a bus and then a boys own adventure through the world cup must surely have been the spirit of the fern at it's finest.

The most important player in any team is the tighthead prop. The second most important is the reserve tighthead prop.
