You are doing the Lord's work Higgins.

Excellent to see Savea get on the scoresheet.
When the Nets go 0-82, it's gravy. When the Blues go 2-9, it's Lam.

Canada with the early 'upset' eh? Still France and Surrender shouldn't be a surprise.

17-7 half time score to NZ over France. France are pretty average. Gear and Mikkelson scored some good tries. Gears to big, to strong and to fast for the French.

22- 7 final score to NZ. French defense and discipline was shit. Halai replaced Gear for the 2nd half and was the star of the half. He's just so strong and hard to take down. Shame about the weather. Weather looks pretty crap, and theyre talking about it getting worse.

Commentators are talking that Mark Jackmand up pretty hard. Seemed solid, but time will tell.

Englands in a different league to Tonga. Theyre to fit and to physical and Tonga just cant keep up. 19-0 at half time. Tonga spent the majority of their half in their 22 and would of been lucky to have spent any time in the english half. Alot more kicking involved due to the weather as well. Will be interesting to see if that carries through to the later games.

I was waiting for Gear to bust the game open but it was Halai who stole the show. Jackman looked to stifle some of our attacking play down to me. Lacking abit of rythym.
The most important player in any team is the tighthead prop. The second most important is the reserve tighthead prop.

I went for a couple hours today but the rain was a downer and I'm picking my daughter up from the airport later so I was not drinking. It was a good vibe as always but incredibly hard to get into when it's not full on rugby. I respect 7s but it's just not the game I follow so I'm home now and dry. Highlight was watching two drunk phucks being egged on by their less drunk mates to kiss. The terror on One guys face when he realized what he was doing was priceless.

This semi with England is a corker, 12 all full time so into extra time. Poms playing fast attacking game.Halai just took it out with an excellent try.

The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

yeah the one early in the Samoa-Fiji semi was harsh and appeared to have a big influence on the game, even the one on the English guy seemed a bit harsh

I don't know who Frank Halai is, but he is a weapon.

Welcome to last year :)

Kid just gets better and better though, the way he's starting to play he's looking like he could move that form over to 15's too.
I hope that someday we will be able to put away our fears and prejudices and just laugh at people.

Halai looked good in the limited opportunities he had for Waikato last year. For some reason, Gibbes and McLeod favoured other wingers for the majority of the ITM Cup. Great result in the final.

He's been around that long? Funny i haven't heard much of him (i get to see next to no sevens) all the talk last year was on that O'Donnell kid.

Halai is a big unit with mad wheels, and is pretty elusive, can't see why a transition can't be made. I have to say, Hosea Gear looks classy when he runs, he just looks dangerous. I wish someone could work on the rest of his game.

Halai's defense is pretty ugly.. He's also often greedy taking on the line when they have a one or two man overlap.. He's a match winner though (he did the same thing last year)

i think halai is brilliant in attack but his defense is terrible, hope he can work on that aspect of his game.
gear still needs to work on his workrate, doesn't go looking for the ball enough.
standout player has to be dj forbes, the man is a machine,he is everywhere

Even Forbes, Cama, Mikkelson, Gear, etc missed their fair share of tackles - there's no place to hide in Sevens. We're only going to know how good Halai is in XVs when he plays because the games are so different. Agree about Halai being a bit greedy with the ball but he's probably been told to take the defence on - inexperience.
