Team news
Finding 11 fit players is half the battle for New Zealand. They lost Jacob Oram to a knee injury in the first game and on Saturday, Taylor didn't play due to a leg problem and Franklin hobbled off with a hamstring injury. Taylor and Franklin are considered 50-50 chances for this game, although Franklin's all-round requirements mean they could be more cautious in resting him. Vettori will play again despite his stiff neck and he could be joined by the uncapped batsman Shanan Stewart, who was called in to cover for Taylor. Gareth Hopkins will keep wickets again due to Brendon McCullum's sore back.
New Zealand (possible) 1 Brendon McCullum (wk), 2 Peter Ingram, 3 Martin Guptill, 4 Ross Taylor/Shanan Stewart, 5 Neil Broom, 6 Scott Styris, 7 Gareth Hopkins (wk), 8 Daniel Vettori (capt), 9 Daryl Tuffey, 10 Tim Southee, 11 Shane Bond.
The Australians will be without their vice-captain Michael Clarke for an indefinite period, who's returning home for personal reasons. Cricket Australia is yet to decide on a replacement. That leaves 12 members of their squad fit and available for selection. Although the batsmen again failed to make use of their starts on Saturday, it's hard to see Adam Voges being preferred to any of the incumbent men. A possible change is the potential inclusion of the fast man Clint McKay. Following a boom home summer, Doug Bollinger has had a couple of busts in New Zealand and could sit out of this one.
Australia (possible) 1 Shane Watson, 2 Brad Haddin (wk), 3 Ricky Ponting (capt), 4 Shaun Marsh, 5 Cameron White, 6 Michael Hussey, 7 James Hopes, 8 Mitchell Johnson, 9 Nathan Hauritz, 10 Ryan Harris, 11 Clint McKay.http://www.cricinfo.com/nzvaus2010/c...ry/451090.htmlStats and trivia
- New Zealand have an excellent record at Seddon Park, where they have won 10 of the 13 ODIs they have played. Australia have never beaten New Zealand at the venue
- Australia's win on Saturday was their first victory in a Chappell-Hadlee Series match in New Zealand since December 2005
- The Australians have now won 30 of the 41 ODIs they have played over the past year. Nathan Hauritz has taken part in the most games, missing only one
- New Zealand have won 10 of 19 they have played in the same period. Martin Guptill and Brendon McCullum are the only men to have taken part in every game

I thought it was one word booboo...

Semantics.
Mind you it just means they bring in Shaun "Son-of" Marsh. Apparently he can hit a reasonable ball.
We'll look a little weak in the middle order with no Taylor.
Weather not forecast to be too sharp today I think. Batting second would be the key today I reckon

SO you get fucked over by the Abbott and Costello system again like the Kiwis in the last game? Lose five overs, and chase 8 less runs...Batting second would be the key today I reckon
Pretty grim here in Whangamata, gray and overcast.

Forecast looks fine for Hams, no rain coming (so they say).

I reckon we got screwed by losing 4 wickets for 40 runs at the start of the innings.. the Duckworth system will slaughter you for doing that. No system can take into account that NZ doesnt actually start having batters until Vettori comes in at number 7/8

a man of few words.

I bet a virtual pint that at least someone at the game will have a "Michael Clarke, where the bloody hell are you?" banner.

Franklin and Tuffey out, Taylor 50/50
Terrible news for NZ fans IMO as we suddenly lose a bif of balance with Tuffey also out.

Mason is playing by the sounds of it.

Tuffey is out as well apparently with a calf strain.
Weather is fine at the moment, a few clouds around, but they aren't bad ones.
If there is any hint of rain around you have to bowl first. Sure you get the odd time like Saturday where you get the shaft, but for the most part it is quite alot easier as you know exactly where you have to be.
So with Tuffey and Franklin out and possibly Taylor, we might be lining up like this...
McCullum, Ingram, Guptill, Broom, Styris, Stewart, Hopkins, Vettori, Southee, Bond, Mason...
Glenn McGrath to Eddo Brandes - "Why are you so fat?"
Eddo Brandes' reply - "Because everytime I **** your wife she gives me a biscuit"
Well if we win it will be a miracleOmitted from the normal starting line up
Ryder
Taylor (likely)
Oram (pfft, good riddance)
Franklin
Tuffey

Apparently Broom and Guptill have been doing quite a bit of bowling in the nets in case they are called upon to fill the 6th bowler option...that isn't good news!!

She has "history" and given that Pup is clearly batting above his average in that department (so to speak) I think it's understandable that he'd be heading home to "comfort her"*
* i.e. keep an eye on the loopy bitch
If homosexuals can't reproduce, how come there are so many of them?
Tuffey and Franklin confirmed out of todays match. Taylor to have a fitness test soon.

I'm picking NZ to bat first and be rolled for 160 - game over before sundown.
It has to happen soon with that top order, eventually the lower order won't be able to save the situation.

No I am worse. I read it and thought it needed better attention than to be tacked on to some other trivial point!
