    Default Weekend Games

I have a request from ferners may be helpful to others. I have access to a lot of ITM and Currie Cup games unfortunately just do not have the time to watch them. In US as long as there are no spoilers its pretty east to avoid results but only problem is I don't want to waste my time watching boring games. Can ferners recommend some of the games were worth watching without the scores? Might be a useful regular thread to have as well.

Both Currie Cup matches this week were good ones. Lions vs Western Province if you want to see how Mitch is doing with the cellar dwellers of the S14 (and see future Springbok flyhalf Elton Jantjies in action). Sharks vs Bulls if you want to keep see if the Bulls manage to stay in the CC playoff hunt in a must win match versus the top of the table Sharks.

Northland v Southland would be worth watching. Northland are playing a real exciting brand of footy, with guys like Jared Payne and Rene Ranger in sublime form!
I can't help myself - tried my best and it goes against everything I believe in, but I can't. After all the whining about Joel Jutge on this site from the winning fans there's nothing left for me to do but.... WALTZING MATILDA, WALTZING MATILDA...

A couple of the games are worth avoiding because the quality was low and the matches struggled to get going

So DO NOT watch: Auckland vs Taranaki or Canterbury vs BOP

There have been people rating games post-hoc - reckon it would be blody good to see how good the games are - one to five stars...

agreed with the above. Probably avoid Otago v Hawkes Bay as well.......however Manawatu vs Wellington was a cracking game I thought.

I agree, Duluth, that Canterbury-Bay of Plenty was a poorly played contest, but not worth watching? Sonny Bill's debut was the point of that match, and am glad I saw it. Then again, I guess you could catch up on his progress just by watching that YouTube video of his play on one of the other threads here.

Thanks guys you made my life much easier the test and SBWs debut were the only games I watched so far.

To clarify my previous garbled post, I think that a rating system would be bloody good. Some torrent type websites do this I believe - don't know how easy it would be to implement here. Maybe include a poll on match threads with a score out of fve.... lets people rate the game from all walks of life (ie not to be too one eyed!)

If you like end to end thrills and spills Waikato vs Harbour was entertaining. Especially if you are a neutral or Mooloo supporter, would probably make pretty tough viewing if you were supporting the home team.

just found this weeks ITM highlights on the AB website, Ranger looks in great form. If he is in Sydney i would love him in the 22.
