Thread: Harbour fans

    Default Harbour fans

OK.* I know they're digging at us, and I know that we should hate them, and I know that arrogance of this magnitude should get the full horse-head treatment .... but dammit... these guys are bloody funny.

    http://www.harbourrugby.com/opinion/we_say_44.htm

    (an example)

    North Harbour 33 Tasman 27
Allan 'Polly' Pollock may well be spending much of this drizzly Monday morning trying to extract his foot from his mouth after we scraped shabbily past some two-bit outfit whose only claim to fame is to come from a town (Nelson) that plays host to an annual three-day uunst-uunst-dance-and-fuck-fest for thirty-somethings who can't deal with the fact that repetitive electronic crap is for over-the-hill bell-ends.

They gave us a fright and we gave them a bonus point.

    B.O.P. (http://www.bopmafia.com):
Looks suspiciously official for an unofficial site but there's a passing mention of Auckland dislike and Mooloo-bagging. The pages are classy-looking; the articles have the distinct whiff of chardonnay-drinking quasi-men who have accumulated total career game-time between them of 25 minutes (local Church 7s tourney) and a subsequent lifetime of talking about it. However, they probably have a 'mate' (that is, a guy they went to school with, never spoke to, but was a friend of a friend) called 'Animal' who played once for the BOP seconds who makes them cool by association. The articles are well written but spunkless.
    4/10.
    That's astonishingly accurate ........

The site may or may not be run by this man .... http://www.daimenhutchison.com/silverfe ... ile;u=1769

Hmmm... now they're linking to this thread from their site. There goes any last lingering pretensions of being a covert Mafia. I wonder who "Jamie (last name withheld) from Tauranga" is

haha, much like Aussie talk about the haka - who gives a shit what they think about it!! Its even funny that they watch...

On the haka, the Aussies want to be able to sing Waltzing Matilda before every game - let them do it but make the team sing it. Its the team that does the haka isnt it??

Sorry, just a random thought in case Harbour fans are reading?? haha
